James M. Connolly 94 of Braintree passed away peacefully at home March 20, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Jean M. (Harding) Connolly to whom he was married to for 61 years. Loving father of Martin Connolly and his wife Janet of Norwood, Brian Connolly and his wife Loretta of Lakeland FL and the late Bridget Sullivan, Gael and Kathleen Connolly. Dear grandfather of Jennifer Saulnier and her husband Raymond of Braintree, Jessica Connolly and her partner Andrew MacLeod of West Roxbury, Brendan Gallagher of Braintree, Ryan Connolly and his partner Tessa Moran of Panama City Beach FL. and his great granddaughter Tilly. Jim was born in Braintree and served in the 101st Airborne Division in WWII. He had worked for New England Telephone as a manager retiring in 1982.  A Funeral Service will be held on Friday March 24 at 10AM in the McMaster Funeral Home 86 Franklin St (Rt37) Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the Funeral Home Thursday from 5-8 PM. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery.
