Virginia T. Goggin

Goggin, Virginia T. of Braintree, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 12, 2023. 

Born on November 27, 1934, Ginny was raised in Medford with her parents and 3 sisters. She graduated from Medford High School in 1952 followed by Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School from which she was certified in 1953.  For the next 7 years, Ginny worked at Stone & Webster Securities during which time she was a founding member of the Women’s Municipal Bond Club of Boston.  On one of her many weekend excursions to the Cape, she met Dick.  After marrying in 1959, they settled in Braintree with their three children Judy, John, and Linda.  A stay-at-home Mom for many years, Ginny reentered the workforce as a secretary in the Braintree High School Guidance Department where she remained for 21 years and was a fan of all things Braintree.  With her outgoing and warm personality, Ginny loved spending time with family and friends, enjoying any event that brought the people she loved together.

Ginny is survived by her daughter Judy Goggin of Braintree, her son John Goggin and his wife Cheryl of E. Brunswick, NJ, and her daughter Linda Kraunelis and her husband Stephen of Braintree.  Lovingly survived by her 5 grandchildren, Daniel, Christopher and Jenna Goggin and James and John Kraunelis and her great-granddaughter Ainsley Goggin.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin Street (Rt. 37), Braintree, Sunday, September 17 from 1-4pm.  A funeral Mass will take place Monday, September 18 at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth Landing. Interment Braintree Cemetery.
