Vincent J. “Jim” Foti Sr. 96 (Ret.BPD) of Braintree passed away October 19 at the Alliance Health Care in Braintree. Beloved husband of the late Constance (Califano) to whom he was married to for 66 years. Loving father of Vincent Jr. and his wife Anne and Cindy Daniels all of Braintree and the late Steven Foti. Brother of the late Georgiana Salvucci, Angelina Evans, Florence Bianco, Joseph Foti, Josephine Foti and John Cotone. Dear grandfather of Julie Albert and her husband Chris of Canton, John, James and Jillian Daniels all of Braintree. Great grandfather of Christopher, Colin and Dillon Albert all of Canton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Utica NY and raised in Randolph, Jim had been a resident of Braintree for the past 70 years. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and had worked for the Braintree Police Department attaining the rank of Sergeant/ Detective when he retired on January 1, 1980 after 30 years of service. Jim was a member of the Braintree Patrolman’s Association, a lifetime member of the Braintree VFW and he loved to do carpentry and spend time with his family. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday October 22 at 12 PM  in the McMaster Funeral Home 86 Franklin St. (Rt.37) Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the funeral home prior to the service from 11- 12. In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to the Hospice of the South Shore 30 Reservoir Park Dr. Rockland MA 02370-1055 . Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery Randolph.
