Thomas J. McBride, of Braintree and Marco Island, FL, passed away peacefully February 3, 2017 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 80.  Born in Boston, Tom was raised and educated in Dorchester and graduated from Cathedral High School and Northeastern University.  He worked for the Eastern Refractories Company for over 50 years.  Tom played minor league baseball in the Boston Braves organization and enjoyed running, especially in the Falmouth Road Race.  He loved his Irish Ancestry, its music and dancing.  Tom was also an avid golfer, and was a member at Thorny Lea and Braintree Municipal Golf Course.

Beloved husband of Jean (Kelleher) McBride.  Loving father of David McBride and his wife Annette of Norfolk and Susan McBride of Braintree.  Devoted brother of Robert McBride and his wife Eleanor of Quincy, Neil McBride and his wife Ann Marie of Weymouth, Richard McBride and his wife Rosemary of Hingham, and Anne Hilton of Weymouth.  Also survived by his grandchildren, Michael and Caroline, and many nieces and nephews.
