Thomas Aiello Obituary

AIELLO, Thomas “Brewski”, age 72, of Weymouth, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 8, 2021.

Born in Braintree, Massachusetts, Tom was the son of the late Americo and Helen (Symes) Aiello. Tom was a graduate of Braintree High School class of 1967. He worked 25 years for the Braintree Water Department as Maintenance Manager and Heavy Equipment Operator and 15 years for P.A. Landers, Inc.

Tom was a veteran of Vietnam, proud to have served with the U. S. Navy Company 414 2nd Regiment 23rd Battalion on the U.S.S. Radford DD-446 with an honorable discharge in 1970. He enjoyed his role as the family handyman after his retirement, tending to his vegetable garden, spending valuable time with his 6 grandchildren, and enjoying delicious family “Friday Night” dinners.

Unfortunately, Tom was an avid New York Yankees fan during the Derek Jeter era. However, his favorite New England sports teams consisted of the Boston Celtics and New England Patriots.

Tom is survived by his four children, Lauren Vaughn of Whitman and her partner Adam Calvert, Thomas Aiello Jr. and his wife Christen of South Weymouth, Adam Aiello and his wife Meghan, of North Weymouth, and Timothy Mischler of Braintree; loving grandfather of six grandchildren - Drew, Cecilia, Declan, Sadie, Tessa, and Thomas III.  He is also survived by his former wife and friend Dorothy Aiello as well as many nieces and nephews in which he loved dearly.
