Theresa Marie Lawrence, age 84 of Chelsea, formerly of Roxbury, passed away peacefully on March 9th, 2023 after her short battle with cancer. She passed at home surrounded by her loved ones. Theresa grew up in Roxbury with her 5 siblings where she then met her first true love and husband of 63 years, Tom. They had nine beautiful children together which whom she deeply loved. Her family was everything to her and the simplest things made her happy like puzzles and Blue Bloods.

Theresa was predeceased by her children Thomas Lawrence, Stephen Lawrence , Annette Lawrence , Peter Lawrence , and Theresa Lawrence. Survived by children Elizabeth Lawrence, Paul Lawrence, Michelle Crawford, and Micheline Sawyer and her husband Bill. Sibling to sister Patty Banks of Hingham, her brother Jackie Wittekind of South Boston and her sister Gerri Melberg of Taunton. Beloved grandmother of Sean Lawrence (deceased), Ann Lawrence, Joshua, Michael, Stephen, Mikayla, Billy, Christine, Kiely, Kaitlyn, Rachel, Joey, and Jonathan. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Jordan, Aubree, Lucas and Harper. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin Street (Rt. 37), Braintree on Monday March 13th from 4-7pm. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 14th, at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, South Braintree Square, at 12pm with a burial to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please make a donation to the Dana Farber American Cancer Society in honor of Theresa.
