Sally Ann (Stearns) Healy, age 84, passed away on March 14, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.
Sally was born on July 10, 1938 to the late Royce and Cecelia Stearns in Hyannis, Massachusetts. She graduated from Barnstable High School and Boston College where she earned a degree in Elementary Education.
Sally taught in the Braintree Public Schools for many years. She was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Braintree. She was awarded the Bishop Cheverus Award and the Unsung Heroes Award for her dedication to the Catholic Daughters of America. Sally enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, sewing, and watching sports.
Sally is survived by her husband of 61 years, John “Jack” Healy. Loving mother of MaryBeth Hurley and her husband Robert of Carver, MA, MaryJane Boudreau and her husband Ronald of Medfield, MA, Kevin Healy and his wife Jennifer of Easton, MA and MaryEllen Allen and her husband Thomas of Whitman, MA. Proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Sister of Nancy Sanson and the late Paul Stearns.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin Street (Route 37), Braintree, Monday March 20 from 4-7 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 21 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, South Braintree Square at 12 PM.
