Roland G. Plummer 87, of Braintree passed away February 25, 2015. Beloved husband of Edith E. (Ferrin). Loving father of Thomas of Braintree, Edward of Rockland, David of Burlington, James of VA., Jean Harding of Weymouth, and Cindy Kay of N. Andover. Brother of Rodney Plummer of Swanzey N.H. and Joan Bousquet of Chicopee. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Born and raised in New Hampshire he had lived in Braintree for the past 63 years. He was a Navy Veteran, serving in WWII, and had worked as a computer operator for the Plymouth Rubber Co. of Canton retiring in 1993. Many will agree that Roland was the ultimate family man. When he was not working to provide for his family he loved spending time with the family. He always looked forward to taking the family to Newfound Lake for summer vacation. Roland was an Assistant Scout Master for many years with troop 138 in Braintree. He enjoyed taking daily walks and talking to the neighbors. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday February 28 at 11 A.M. in the Church of St. Clare 1244 Liberty St. Braintree Highlands. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the McMaster Funeral Home 86 Franklin St. (Rt.37) Braintree, prior to the Mass from 9-10:30 A.M. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
