Rita J (O'Connnell) Knecht

Rita J (O'Connell) Knecht of Quincy died peacefully with her daughter by her
side on March 25, 2020, at the age of 64. Rita was born and raised in South
Boston and a resident of Braintree for over 20 years and recently a resident of
Quincy for the past 3 1/2 years. Rita was the loving wife of the late George P.
Knecht to whom she was married to for over 24 years. She is survived by her
daughter Karen M Knecht and grandson Cameron J. Knecht both of Dorchester. She
was the daughter of the late John F. and Marie (Blanchard) O'Connell. She was
the sister of Marie King of Norton, Lorraine Peacock of Seakonk, John O'Connell
of Norton, Helen O'Connell of Randolph, Catherine Healey of Weymouth, Deanna
Hilliard and Alice Kelly both of Braintree, Lawrence O'Connell of Taunton, the
late Michael O'Connell of South Boston, the late Eileen Nolet of New Bedford,
and Norman O'Connell of Brockton. Additionally, she leaves behind many nieces
and nephews and their beautiful families. A private graveside ceremony will be held for
family only at a latter date.In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the
American Heart Association in Rita's name at (www.heart.org).
