Richard K Murray

Richard K. “Dick” Murray of Braintree, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, May 9th with the love of his life, Dorothy “Dottie” by his side. 

Richard was born and grew up in Dorchester and called Braintree his home for the past 60 years. He attended Boston College High and graduated from Boston College in 1955 with a degree from the Carrol School of Management.

Richard had a love for the game of baseball, playing at BC High and at Boston College and was a member of the 1953 BC Collegiate World Series team. Richard served in the Army for 2 years before joining Honeywell Inc. where he worked in the Nascent Technology Industry for more than 30 years.  An avid golfer Dick also loved spending time with family, friends and traveling with Dottie.    

Richard is survived by his sons Kevin and his wife Sally of Concord, Chris and his wife Katherine of Medfield, Sean of Franklin, Michael of Braintree and Stephen and Kimberly of Weston, CT.  He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, his 2 brothers Robert Murray and his wife Joan and Paul Murray and his wife Jean along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dick and Dottie are ardent supporters of the Medical Missionaries of Mary and family member Sr. Katherine Shea.  

A funeral Mass will be held at the Church of Saint Clare, 1244 Liberty Street, Braintree on Friday May 13th, 2022, at 1:00PM.
