Peter D. Rowe

ROWE, Peter Dalton of Weymouth, formerly of Braintree, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at the age of 80.

Son of the late Richard “Harry” and Louise M. Rowe and beloved brother of Judith Paquin formerly of Braintree, and the late Patricia Curry-Polson. Devoted uncle of Gretchen DeSantis of Natick, Christine Sears of Kingston, Jennifer Tomasetti of Hanover and Jean-Louise Paquin Allen of Seattle, WA, and 13 great-nephews and nieces. Also survived by his brother-in-law Karl H. Polson of West Yarmouth and former longtime companion Lynn Gately of Kingston.

Peter grew up in Braintree and graduated from Braintree High School. During his teen years, he enjoyed attending stock car races with his family, as his father and uncles owned a stock car. After serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, Peter had a career at Grass Instrument Co. in Braintree which spanned many years. Peter was a college graduate and a history buff. He enjoyed playing chess, gardening and doting on his Husky rescue dogs.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, Braintree at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Private interment at Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree.
