Patricia Clougherty (Joyce) 83yrs, from Braintree (originally from Dorchester) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 17 2017. She predeceased husband Joseph, (affectionately called “The Jerk”). She is survived by her five children:  Mary Keaney of Braintree, Jane Lassalle and husband Rolando of Upton, Linda Fox and husband Derek of O’Fallon, MO, Patricia Puliafico and her husband Michael of Milton, and Joseph Clougherty and his wife Susan of Scituate. She is also survived by her two best friends/sisters Mary Gargano and husband David of Braintree, and Rita Sheehan and husband Fred of Yarmouth. She has 15 grandchildren; Christine, Katie, Kevin, Marie, Kerri, Sean, Erin, Daniel, Bridget, Kelly, Alyssa, Kristen, Alex, David and Michael and her great-granddaughter Aubrey Fox. Patricia graduated Laboure School of Nursing in 1955 and worked for many years most recently, as a nurse, then nursing supervisor, at the John Scott Nursing Home in Braintree.

Patricia loved working as a nurse, ‘walking with God’ and spending time with her family. If asked she would say her favorite activities were to play piano, ski, tennis, figure skate, sing, and swim. Her dog/best friend, Rocky, was her companion for many years. She loved to summer at the Cape and enjoy her most favorite food in the world was any kind of ice cream.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours at the McMaster Funeral Home 86 Franklin St. (Rt 37) Braintree on Sunday August 20 from 4-6pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held at St Francis of Assisi Church  S. Braintree Square on Monday at 10 am. Interment at Blue Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Address: 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
