Mary R. "Mae" (McCann) Nichols Obituary

Mary R. “Mae” (McCann) Nichols 96 of Braintree passed away September 9, 2014 at her home. Wife of the late Richard Nichols. Loving mother of Roberta “Bobbie” Nichols of W. Yarmouth, Richard “Rick” Nichols of Norwell and Rhonda Dickens of Quincy. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Born in Framingham she had been a resident of Braintree for the past 63 years. Mae taught English Literature at Braintree High School for many years retiring in 1979. The Mae Nichols Creative Writing scholarship created in her honor is awarded to a student every year. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday September 12 at 10 A.M in the Church of St. Clare 1244 Liberty St. Braintree Highlands. Visiting hours omitted, interment Braintree Cemetery
