Mary (McDonald) Berard ,76, of Bridgewater, passed away after a long battle with illness. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Mary is predeceased by her parents, Mary (Benson) McDonald and Earle McDonald and many other cherished friends and family. She is survived by her husband George Berard of Bridgewater. Children Stacy Berard of Bridgewater, Michael Berard of Gulfport, MS and Brian Berard of Bridgewater, her step daughter Cheri (Berard) Pike and son-in-law Daniel Pike and grandson Christopher Pike of Randolph, and her siblings Joanne (McDonald) Reale of Abington, Earle McDonald Jr. of Braintree, Paul McDonald of Nova Scotia, Canada and Edward McDonald of Florida and many nieces, nephews, and close friends and family.
Mary was born in Weymouth, and raised in Braintree, and was the boss. Mary was full of life and lived every day to the fullest. Her family was her pride and joy. She loved spending time with them most. She kept everyone organized and together. She was the best mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend.
She worked at Kellogg Keebler for over 35 years and then, after retirement, at Roche Bros in Bridgewater where she made many lifelong friends. Mary was an accomplished athlete and spent many years involved in Bridgewater youth sports with her children. Mary loved her birthday picnic suppers on the beach, her peach Bellinis, Cape “coddahs”, pineapple margaritas and her favorite “mamooseahs”. She loved to clean and organize everything and loved a good stripe. She loved her Hallmark movies. Ice cream and Chinese food were her favorite things to eat. Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, January 14th from 4:00PM- 7:00PM at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin Street, (Route 37) Braintree. A funeral Mass will take place Wednesday, January 15th at 10AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington St. Braintree. A private interment will take place at a later date.
A celebration of her life will take place following her mass at the Randolph Lodge of Elks Hall, 21 School Street, Randolph.
