Martha Keronen (Daniels) of Braintree passed away peacefully after a long illness at South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth. She is survived by her husband Robert G. Keronen, Jr. of Braintree, her son Ronald Beaudoin of the Phillippines, her daughters Patricia Beaudoin and Teresa Beaudoin, both of Weymouth, and a sister, Margaret Pierce of Boston. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great children, and loving extended family.
Martha was born in Melrose, MA to the late Grace Cutter and the late James Daniels. She grew up in the Merrymount part of Quincy, MA. She was employed over the years by Raytheon, the Department of Corporation and Taxation, additonaly she was a union shop steward for Jordan Marsh, and worked for the Federal Employee Program at Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 20 years.
Martha’s enjoyment in life was her family. Her children were very important to her. She always said her daughter Teresa and her were “a team”. Martha took great pride in working in her yard, and gardening. She enjoyed road trips to Kittery, Maine, Woodmans in Gloucester, camping trips with her family, boating out on Boston Harbor, and she was an excellent cook. Martha was a friend to anyone who needed to talk. She would do anything she could to help those who needed her. She had a funny sense of humor and a quick wit. Martha’s blue eyes could light up any room. She will forever be in our hearts. This isn’t goodbye; it’s see you later.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, November 13th from 1-3PM at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Braintree. Further arrangements will be private.
