Marion O'Brien Obituary

O’Brien, Marion A. (Moschella), died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on January 24, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred O’Brien, a retired Braintree police officer. Married in 1943, Wilfred and Marion were loving and devoted parents to 6 children. She is survived by Carole Guevremont and her late husband John; Dennis and his fiancée Millie; Maureen Charboneau and her late husband Alan; William and his wife Jean; and Joseph and was predeceased by her daughter Karen Parcewski and her husband Larry.

She was also a doting grandmother to 11 grandchildren – John Guevremont Jr. and his wife Donna; Richard Guevremont and his fiancée Malee; the late Dawn MacKenzie and her husband Alan; Alan Charboneau Jr. and his wife Debra; Robert Charboneau and his wife Sheli; Christine O’Brien; Daniel O’Brien and his wife Kathleen; Shannon Battles and her husband MacKenzie; Kevin O’Brien; Michael O’Brien and his wife Jennifer; Matthew O’Brien and Caity O’Brien.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, Marion will be missed dearly by her 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marion was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was thrilled to have had 99 years with the family who meant the world to her. Although what she loved most was spending time with her family, she also enjoyed going to the casino. While raising her family, she worked 20 years at Bradlees in the warehouse packing shipment before retiring in 1988.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Sunday, January 30, 2022, from 1-4 pm at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin Street (Rt. 37) Braintree. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 10 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington St, Braintree.  Masks are required for all who are attending the visitation and funeral Mass.
