Margaret Kehoe Obituary

Margaret “Peggy” (Kelly) Kehoe, age 82, of Braintree, died peacefully at her home on Friday June 18, 2021 surrounded by her family. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Bernard J. Kehoe; dear mother of Kenneth B. Kehoe of Hanover, Kerry D. Moschella & her husband Michael of Braintree, Kimberley A. Johnson & her husband Paul of Princeton, Karen C. Swank & her husband Rick of Auburn; devoted sister of John Kelly of CA., Frank Kelly of Quincy, Mary Kyne of Braintree, Ann Johnson of Medford, Eileen Chase of Centerville, Patricia Cucchianatta of CT. and the late James Kelly and Katherine Ego. She is also survived by her much loved and cherished grandchildren, Benjamin, Patrick, Aaron, Brady, Savina, Jeremy, Tyler and Colby.

Raised in Dorchester, Margaret and Bernie began their life together in Quincy, eventually making their home in Braintree where she has resided for the past 55 years. Margaret was always an active member of the community. In her younger years her time was spent as a PTO member and a Leader for Camp Fire Girls, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. Prior to her retirement in 2008, Margaret worked for CNA Insurance in Quincy. After retiring, Margaret continued her community involvement as an active member of the Braintree Women’s Club, the Braintree Catholic Women’s Club, the Neighborhood Brigade, Marge Crispin Center in Braintree and the Braintree Public Schools. Outside of her volunteering and charity work Margaret (aka Nana) spent any free time she had with her grandchildren. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington St. Braintree, Thursday June 24, at 12 noon with a celebration of life luncheon immediately following at the Granite Grille in Braintree. Visiting hours at McMaster Funeral Home 86 Franklin St. (RT. 37) Braintree, Wednesday June 23, from 4 to 7PM.

Although flowers are beautiful, once cut, they too shall die.  Margaret requested that in lieu of flowers you consider sending a plant or tree that post her services will be donated to Nursing Homes, Hospice facilities and other local organizations that give back to the community.  Donations can also be made in Margaret's memory to the Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Dr. Rockland 02370 who were amazing to Margaret and her family during her valiant fight.
