Lorraine Mary (Iamele) Palmer of Braintree passed away on June 26, 2024. She was 90 years old.
Lorraine was born on June 3, 1934 in Braintree to Bernard and Mary (Eosue) Iamele. She lived her childhood and young adult years in Braintree and attended public schools there. Later she moved to Randolph with her husband, Bud Palmer. Lorraine worked in business at Dell Corning and Philstone Nail.
Lorraine was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved to tell stories of her upbringing in Braintree and time with family and her beloved husband, Bud. Lorraine loved to read and often read a book a day. She was a long time supporter of The Glastonbury Abbey in Hingham and The Pine Street Inn in Boston. She was an avid New England sports fan.
Lorraine was predeceased in death by her husband Bud Palmer, her parents Bernard and Mary (Eosue) Iamele, her sister Theresa Iamele and her sister Grace (Iamele) Lally. She is survived by her brother, Anthony Iamele and many nieces and nephews and their children.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 3 at 11:00 am at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, Braintree. Interment will follow at Central Cemetery, 327 North Street, Randolph.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to St. Jude, a charity that was important to Lorraine.
