Leo J. Salvucci, 84 years old, of Weymouth, Massachusetts, formerly of Braintree, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025 at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He was surrounded by his family and friends, after a battle with leukemia.

Leo was the beloved son of the late Gertrude (Joyal) and Godfrey Joseph Salvucci. He was the brother of Marie (Salvucci) Deady and devoted husband of the late Frances C. Salvucci, for 58 years. He is survived by his daughters Susan Salvucci of Weymouth and Stacy Salvucci (Jernegan) of Hanson. Dear grandfather of Bradford and Holly Jernegan and Michael and Patrick Salvucci.

Leo was born in Providence, RI. At age 5 he moved to Brockton, and then moved to Braintree at 14 years old. He attended Braintree High School. That is where he met his high school sweetheart, Fran. They married in 1964.

Leo attended Boston Architectural College and then Wentworth Institute of Technology. He was the Managing Director of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for 30 years. He accepted an early retirement at age 52. At that point in his career, he was committed to his architectural design business, HOMESTYLE designs. He loved his company and was passionate about his work. He enjoyed working with customers, engineers and contractors. He designed thousands of homes. The last day he worked was 12/12/2025.

He was a kind, compassionate man with an unwavering commitment to his family. His family was his priority and he looked forward to every family gathering. He also loved his social life, meeting with his friends several times every week.

Leo loved vacationing with his wife and friends. Favorite spots were Aruba, Spain, Italy and Ogunquit, Maine. After his wife passed, he continued traveling with friends and made wonderful memories in Portugal, Iceland and New Hampshire with his 2 daughters and all his grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin St. (Rt. 37) Braintree, MA on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 4pm- 7pm. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington St. Braintree on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 10:00 am. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree, MA.
