Kathryn Coady-Wright of Braintree - Age 68, peacefully entered life eternal on April 22, 2022. Retired Administrator & Claims Manager of the MA Bricklayers and Masons Health and Welfare fund LU3 Dorchester for over 30 years where she was a devoted advocate for organized labor.

Kathryn was a loving, caring, and giving person who commanded the room everywhere she went. She loved family gatherings and everything she made was “the best”, especially her Thanksgiving stuffing (or maybe it was her carrot cake). Kathryn had a wide circle of friends and embraced each of her sibling’s friends as her own. Christmas was her favorite holiday and her flair for generosity brought joy to all. Kathryn could master anything she tried and had an exceptional talent for art. She had quick wit, a fierce spirit, and no challenge was too great for her to overcome.

Kathryn is predeceased by her husband Richard M. Wright, parents Joseph P. Coady, Sr. and Mary E. (Ryan) Coady, and brothers Patrick J. Coady, Joseph P. Coady, Jr., and Michael G. Coady. Kathryn is survived by siblings Bernice E. (Coady) Morrissey and husband David of Bridgewater, John L. Coady of South Carolina, Christine M. Coady of Holbrook, William F. Coady of Hull, James M. Coady of Braintree, Daniel E. Coady and wife Kara of Braintree, Susan E. (Coady) Horton and husband James of Paxton; and sister-in-law Geri (Goodman) Coady of Easton. Kathryn was an adored and devoted aunt to Derek and Cameron Coady; Kimberly Haire and Kevin Coady; Erin, Colleen, and Kathleen Morrissey; Nichole Flaherty; Ryan, Bridgette, Joseph and Drew Coady; Alexander, Zachary, Liam, and Braeden Horton; as well as great nieces and nephews Angelina, Camden, and Coraline Coady; Coady Flaherty; Sienna and Hayden Haire.

Visiting hours will be held at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin Street (Rt. 37), Braintree on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, April 29, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, Braintree. Burial will be at Blue Hill Cemetery following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made in Kathryn’s memory to the Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute P.O. Box 849168 Boston, MA 02284-9168.
