Karleen R Boretti

Karleen Regina Boretti passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the age of 88.  She was born on September 7, 1933 in Boston and grew up in Readville, Massachusetts.  She has joined her beloved husband Renald Boretti Jr., her parents Elizabeth and John Shea, her sister Marion Flynn and brother John Shea in heaven.  Karleen and Renald were happily married for 52 years and raised their family in Braintree.  They spent their retirement winters with extended family in Sarasota, Florida.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters and their husbands, Carol and Richard Carlson and Jeanne and Ronald Martin; her son and his wife, Ronald and Mary Ellen Boretti: her grandchildren, Mikalah Powers, Lee Carlson, Elyse Salek, Katie Kenney, Meghan Martin, Ronald Boretti, Sean Martin and John Boretti; her great grandchildren Luke, Drew, Brianna Jack, Emma, Owen, Bradley, Josh, Karlee, Macie, and Molly; her brother Robert and his wife Geraldine Shea, her sister-in laws, Joan Auld, Judy Boretti, Beverly Kreger; and many nieces and nephews.

Karleen was a kind and loving person and, above all, devoted to her family.  She worked as a waitress to help put her children through college.  Karleen especially loved hosting holidays and family dinners and teaching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren card games.  Karleen will be missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a period of visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 am Friday, March 4, 2022 at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin Street (Rt. 37), Braintree. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am at Saint Clare Church, 1244 Liberty Street, Braintree. Masks are required for those attending the visitation and funeral Mass. Burial will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 1:30 pm.
