Joseph W Kessler

Joseph W. Kessler 84, of Braintree passed away June 27, 2021. Beloved husband of Mary A. (Piazza) Pennell Kessler to whom he was married to for 53 years. Dear stepfather of William Pennell and his wife Donna, David Pennell all of Braintree and his daughter Shannon Foster of RI. Brother of the late Ruth Hinds and Kathleen Kessler.  

Joe was born in Arlington MA, son of the late Irving and Kathleen (Corbett) Kessler and had served in the US Air Force. He had worked as a machinist for the Bird Machine Co. of Walpole for 30 years. Joe was a member of the St. Moritz Horseshoe club of Quincy, a choir member at St. Francis of Assisi Church and he loved to shoot pool at the Braintree Senior Center. Joe was an all around handyman and loved to fix anything to do with plumbing and electrical. He loved building sheds and he had built a 1962 Mustang from scratch.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 1 at 11:30 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington St., Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin St. (Rt. 37) Braintree prior to the mass on Thursday from 10-11 AM. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery.
