John C. Manganello of Braintree passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the age of 66. Son of the late Abel and Lucille (Strickland) Manganello. John is survived by his by his son John G. Manganello of Weymouth, brothers Ronald of Hanson, Richard and his wife Jayne of Attleboro, Robert of Braintree, and sister Barbara Smith and her husband Donald of Ojai, CA. “uncle John” was a favorite of his numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. His devoted black lab, Jack, was always at his side.  

John was a highly skilled and creative mason, and took great pride and satisfaction in teaching his trade to his son John.  He enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing and gardening.  He enjoyed baking wonderful pies to share with friends and family. We will miss his dry wit and generous spirit. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours Tuesday from 5-8pm at the McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin St. (RT 37) Braintree . A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Wednesday September 27 at St. Francis of Assisi Church South Braintree Square. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Randolph. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Berwick Boys Foundation 335 West St. W. Bridgewater MA 02379.
