John Donahue, a lifelong resident of Braintree, passed away March 1, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Maryanne (Banks), of Braintree, and his two daughters: Michelle Donahue and her husband David Shucosky of Pittsburgh, PA, and Meghan Dwyer and her husband Craig, of Milton. He was a loving grandfather to three grandchildren: Caroline, Colin, and Ryan. He is also survived by his siblings: Richard, Susan Kupps, Michael and Robert.
John was a Braintree firefighter for 37 years retiring as Deputy Chief/Fire Marshall. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He will be dearly missed.

A Funeral Mass was held yesterday (March 7th) at St. Francis of Assisi Church Braintree and interment followed at Braintree Cemetery.
