John B Calarese Jr.

John Baptist Calarese Jr. of Braintree, born August 26, 1931 passed away at home from natural causes on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his loving wife Emily T.(Naples) Calarese to whom he was married to for 58 years. Daughters Ann Marie Yankun of Taunton, Dorothy T. Reynolds of Braintree and son William J. Calarese of Seattle, Washington. Grandchildren, Jenna Yankun of Brooklyn, NY, Christopher Yankun of Londonderry, NH, Michael Fabiano, Braintree  and Mathew Fabiano of Braintree . Brother of the late, Joseph, Frank and Eugene Calarese, Mildred Lynch, Santina Olsen. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Braintree, MA. John was a Braintree Police Officer for 29 years, and worked as a carpenter with the reputation of the "man with the magical hands", John continued to work despite of his illness, right through fall of 2015. John a humble man with a gentle disposition and a great sense of humor will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was always there for everyone. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. We all love you. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 23 at 9 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church 850 Washington St. Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the McMaster Funeral Home 86 Franklin St. (Rt.37) Braintree Friday, January 22 from 4-8 PM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery Randolph.
