John earned paramedic of the year and was a Dr. Hirsch award recipient for his trauma expertise. John was a strong supporter of his fellow colleagues and all his union members and was part of peer leadership. John especially enjoyed the lifelong bond and friendships he had from working at Boston EMS. After retirement, John spent time teaching at CMTI educating EMTSs, paramedics, and fire departments, on numerous job-related skills.
