Joan C (Argento) Puccia Obituary

Joan Puccia (Argento), aged 87, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, in Ocala, Florida. Born on April 27, 1939, in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Joan lived a remarkable life filled with music, travel, and a deep love for family and friends.

Joan’s career was as vibrant and adventurous as her spirit. She graced network television in Manchester, New Hampshire, with her singing talent before embarking on a global journey as a tour director. Her passion for exploration led her to live in Greece, where she worked as a travel director and performed at the Mare Nostrum Resort. Joan’s ability to connect with people through music and her enthusiasm for discovering new places left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Joan cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her children John Puccia and his fiancé Sandra and Liane Puccia; her sister Ann Downey and her husband Karl; her nieces Gina Ruggiero and Robyn Vaccara and her husband Stefano; her nephew Christopher Ruggiero; her great-nieces Olivia Saarela, Jacquie Ruggiero and Siena Vaccara and her great-nephews Luis Vaccara, Robert Ruggiero and Joseph Doherty and their partners. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Delores (Tina) and Leo Argento.

She was also very close to her aunts and first cousins who she cherished deeply.

Joan’s love of family was matched only by her passion for music, travel, laughter, and meeting new people. Her warmth and vivacious personality brought joy to countless lives. An animal lover at heart, Joan shared a special bond with her cherished dogs Titchka and Babee Girl, who provided comfort and companionship during her later years.

Joan will be remembered for the light she brought into the world through her talents, kindness, and zest for life. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
