Janet R. (Shaw) Bierlich, 84, of Braintree, Massachusetts, entered Heaven peacefully on Sunday, September 28th, 2025. Reuniting with her beloved husband of 64 years, Paul G. Bierlich Jr. 

Born on July 12, 1941 in Boston, Massachusetts, Janet later attended Quincy High School and graduated in 1959. She was the daughter of the late Doris L. (Brids) Shaw and Archie N. Shaw; growing up alongside her sister, Diana (Shaw) Anastasio.

In 1961 Janet married the true love of her life, the rest was beautiful history. They shared a rare and unwavering devotion that was admired by all who knew them. Paul adored and cherished Janet beyond measure, and their love story was one of deep admiration, commitment, and happiness. After Paul’s passing in January of 2025, Janet’s heart never quite recovered, leading to her reunion with Paul in the same year.

Janet was a dedicated homemaker who dabbled in canning her own pickles and delicious strawberry jam from her husband's abundant fruit and vegetable garden. She also enjoyed working alongside her mother, Doris, at the family’s furniture store, Premier Furniture. Janet enjoyed traveling with her husband Paul and their close friends, especially to Aruba! Janet faced her final years with remarkable strength and resilience, fighting her health struggles courageously. Janet was the mother to Paula and her husband Jerry Adams and Scott and his wife Jenn (Segiet) Bierlich. Grandmother to Cali Adams, Brooke Adams, and Anthony McCarthy. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Janet will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Braintree Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, October 3rd, from 10:00am to 12:00pm followed by a Funeral service at 12 noon in the McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin Street (Rt. 37), Braintree. Burial to follow at Braintree Cemetery, Plain Street, Braintree.
