Jane (Follette) Ripley

Jane (Follette) Ripley of Braintree passed away on January 7th, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 81.

Jane was the beloved wife of her late husband David M. Ripley to whom she was married to for 59 years.  Jane was the loving mother of Kim Cornell of Plymouth, Tracy Walsh and her husband Timothy Walsh of Plymouth and the late David R. Ripley of Pembroke and his wife Laura Ripley.  She was the greatest Nana to Haley and Harrison Cornell, Matt Walsh and his wife Amber Walsh, Casey Walsh, Meghan Doyle and her husband Connor Doyle, Joseph Walsh and Sean and Dylan Ripley.  Jane will be missed by her niece Debbi Travers, nephews Dwayne and Dana Follette and their families. Jane will also be missed by her many cousins and friends. Jane was the daughter of the late Reid and Evelyn Follette of Braintree. She was the oldest sibling of the late Ellis (Boya) Follette, Reid (Butch) Follette and the late Frederick Follette.

Jane spent many years working for Braintree Public Schools where she was loved and respected by all students and colleagues. Jane was so proud to be born and raised in “good ole Braintree” where she established lifelong friendships that never faded.  She loved hosting Sunday dinners for the family where she would show off her “Best Cook in Braintree” title. Jane spent her last days under the care of the most amazing staff at Wingate (Kingston).

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, January 14th from 9-11 am at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin St, (Rt. 37) Braintree. Graveside service to follow at 11:30 am at Braintree Cemetery.
