James M. Nicholson, 77 of Quincy formerly of Braintree died unexpectedly December 2nd, 2021 at the South Shore Hospital. Raised and educated in Braintree, Jim was born in Weymouth to the late James and Amelia (Tocci) Nicholson.
Jim was affectionately known as “The Man, The Myth and The Legend” and could fix anything on four wheels. Prior to his retirement Jim was an auto mechanic for many years on the South Shore.
He was the dear father of James Nicholson of Lakeville, Alan Nicholson of Bridgewater, and the late Gary Nicholson. Loving brother of William Nicholson and his wife Jennie of No. Andover, Michael Nicholson and his wife Lynn of Braintree and Gail Peacock and her husband Dave of Plymouth. He is also survived by five grandchildren and was the favorite uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Sunday, December 5th from 2-5PM at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin Street (Rt. 37) Braintree. A Funeral Mass will take place in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, Braintree, on TUESDAY, December 7th at 10:00AM. Interment Plain Street Cemetery, Braintree.
