Irene A. (Grinnell) Leonard 86, of Braintree, passed away January 6th 2016 at the Milton Hospital. Wife of the late John “Jack” Leonard. Loving mother of John J. Leonard of Braintree. Sister of Bill Grinnell of FL. Cousin of Margaret Desimone of Burlington. Aunt of Mary Hogan of Plymouth, Robert Hogan of Portsmouth N.H., and Jeffrey Grinnell of FL. She was born in Ayer, MA and had worked as a secretary for the Metropolitan District Police and the Sears Department store in Braintree. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday January 11 at 10:30 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, South Braintree Sq. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the funeral home prior to the Mass from 9-10 AM. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 480 Pleasant St. Watertown MA, 02472. Interment private.
