Grace M Calvi Obituary

Grace Marie (Salvaggio) Calvi of Canton, Massachusetts, and Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026.


Grace was born and raised in Quincy, Massachusetts, and was a graduate of Quincy High School. She lived in Canton for the past five years. Prior to that, she resided in Stoughton for over 40 years and previously made her home in Braintree for 29 years.


Grace was employed for many years at Bradlees Offices, where she worked in the Personnel Office before retiring. She was a proud member of the Braintree Sons of Italy Lodge. Grace enjoyed traveling and ballroom dancing, and in her later years she found great joy participating in activities at the Canton Senior Center. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the center of her world.


Grace will be remembered as a devoted daughter, sister, and wife; a loving and dedicated mother; a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother; and a loyal friend who was deeply loved by all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed.


Grace was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Lucia (Poliatti) Salvaggio and the beloved wife of the late Francis Calvi. She was the devoted mother of Elena Marie MacMillan (Bruce), Richard Richardi (Ramona), and Joanne Vitale (Vincent).


She was the loving grandmother of Erica Richardi-Runion (David), Brendan Richardi (Erin), Stephen MacMillan (Elizabeth), Matthew Vitale (Jill), and Michael Vitale (Morgan), and the cherished great-grandmother of Sadie, Haley, Stephen, Leah, and Luca.


Grace was one of six siblings. She is survived by her brothers Robert and John and was predeceased by her brothers Pete, Anthony, and Richard.


Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, January 23rd at 10:30am at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington St., Braintree. Interment will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Visiting hours are omitted.


In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation in Grace’s name be made to Tunnel To Towers Foundations, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten island, NY  10306.
