Gerald ”Jerry” Monaghan of Sharon Ma, born September 25, 1953 passed away suddenly at his home on January 8, 2016 at the age of 62. He was the son of the late Donald and Virginia (Weathers) Monaghan, and brother of the late Gail Monet and Patricia Delaney. He is survived by his loving wife Kimberly (Dyer) Monaghan. Daughters Kathleen Monaghan of Braintree, Stephanie Monaghan of Davenport, FL and Son Craig Monaghan of Braintree. Grandsons Jackson and Donnie. Brothers David and (Sheila) Monaghan of Norwood, Jack and (Charlene) Monaghan of Bridgewater, Bruce and (Ann) Monaghan of Braintree, and Jimmy and (Pam) of Braintree. Sister Donna and (Larry) Pidcoe, of Picayune, MS. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Chelsea he had worked as a postal clerk for the Wrentham Post Office. Jerry loved History. He was especially proud of his 50 Piece miniature village of Williamsburg. He loved to travel to Mississippi and especially enjoyed the plantations and all the history in Mississippi. Most of all, Jerry's heart was as big as his booming voice. He was always there for everyone. We have all lost a part of us, a part that will live on forever through the memories that he created for all of us. You will surely be missed, Jerry. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather brother, uncle and friend. We all love you. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the McMaster Funeral Home 86 Franklin St. (Rt.37) Braintree Wednesday January 13 from 4-8 PM. Funeral services and burial will be private. The family sincerely requests that in lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to the American Heart Association 20 Speen St. Framingham MA 01701- 4688.
