Florence Morrissey, 94, of Braintree, passed away on November 20, 2024, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was the beloved wife of the late John Morrissey, to whom she was married for 67 years.
Florence was born in Boston on February 28, 1930, and spent most of her life in Braintree.
Florence loved daffodils and baked stuffed lobster. She also loved to travel to Cape Cod and Minnesota to spend time with her family.
Beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Petrauskas. Loving mother of Janet Morrissey of Braintree, James Morrissey and his wife Jean of Lunenburg, and the late Paul Morrissey Sr. and his wife Kathy of North Oaks MN. Dear grandmother of Paul Jr., Jim, Kate, Christopher, Stephen, and Connor. Great grandmother of Jaxson, Isabella, Eliza, Joshua, and James. Sister of the late Helen Yuskauskas.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, December 3, from 9-10:30am at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Braintree. A funeral Mass will follow at 11am at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington St., Braintree. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
