Ernestine R. (Davidson) Mantia 84 of Braintree passed away July 16, 2015 at the South Shore Hospital. Loving mother of Ronald Mantia and his wife Kim of Bridgewater, Francis Mantia and his wife Michelle of Norwell, Wayne Mantia of Braintree and his former wife Leta Fulton and Gail Graziano and her husband Louis of Hanover. Sister of the late Dr. George Davidson and Erva MacDonald. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Beloved companion of Joseph Canelli of Braintree. Born in Milton and raised in Quincy she was a graduate of Quincy High School class of 1949. She had been a volunteer at the South Shore Hospital for many years in the Cardiac rehab department and the Cottage Shop. Her many hobbies included refinishing furniture, gardening, dress design and music. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday July 21 at 11 A.M in the McMaster Funeral Home 86 Franklin St. (Rt. 37) Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit prior to the service from 9:30 -11 AM. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to a charity of ones choice
