Edward C. Sargent 76 of Braintree passed away March 10, 2016 at the Alliance Healthcare . Father of Michael Sargent of Marshfield, Jodi Hogan of Weymouth and the late Edward Sargent. Brother of Patricia Fiorentino, Barbara Vella and Robert all of Braintree. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren. Born in Quincy he had been a lifelong resident of Braintree. Ed was a US Army veteran and a member of the Braintree Lodge of Elks, VFW and the DAV. He had worked for Amtrak as foreman of engineer’s for 40 years retiring in 1999.A private graveside service at the Village Cemetery in Weymouth will take place at a latter date.
