Donald E. Vitagliano, 84, of Braintree retired Captain BFD, passed away March 9, 2016. Beloved husband of Natalie L. (Zilevich). Loving father of Donna Vitagliano of Quincy, Diane Conlon and her husband Steve of Weymouth, and David Vitagliano and his wife Deb of Braintree. Brother of Carl Vitagliano of Braintree and Marianna Vitagliano of Randolph. Dear grandfather of Matthew, David, Brooke, and Sabrina. Born in Rockland, he was a Braintree High School graduate, Class of 1949. He had worked as a Firefighter for the Town of Braintree for 33 years, retiring 1988. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday March 14 at 10:30 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church 856 Washington St. South Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the McMaster Funeral Home 86 Franklin St. (Rt.37) Braintree, Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to a charity of ones choice.
