David A. MacKenzie 93 of Braintree passed away at home March 2, 2014. Husband of the late Joyce (Hoisington). Father of Bruce of CA, Scott of Carver, Kimberly Vallatini and Sharon Whitney  both of Braintree and Lee Raymond of Plymouth. Brother of Barbara McCormick of IN. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Born in Medford and raised in Braintree he was a graduate of Thayer Academy class of 1939. He was a WWII Army Air Force fighter pilot veteran and had been a POW at Stalag 1 in Bath Germany. David had worked at his families  restaurant “The Galley Luncheon” known as “Macs” at Post Office Square in Boston. He enjoyed summers at the family home in W. Harwich.  Upon  retiring he moved to Hartland VT. .
