David Banagis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, David Banagis, who passed away January 8th, 2022 at the age of 81. He was a formidable man, a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed.

David was born in Ovid, Michigan.  After enlisting in the Navy to serve his country, he met the love of his life, our late mother, Beverly Bye Banagis.  It brings us immense joy to know he has been reunited with his Twin Flame, and they are once again dancing.

His Naval journey ended in 1978 and led him to the First National Bank of Boston for the second half of his career.

He leaves behind his four children, Lisa Harrington, Michelle Decelle, Michael Banagis and Sean Banagis.  His grandchildren Melissa Harrington, Jason Harrington, Christine Banagis, Samantha Decelle, Corey Decelle, Jack Banagis and Emily Banagis along with eleven great-grandchildren.  He was the devoted brother of George and Joyce Banagis. 

Those that had the opportunity to know Dad, know he never knew a stranger.  He was always willing to help you solve a problem, gave the best advice and left you with one of his poppyisms.  He enjoyed sports and music and you could always count on him to engage you in a stimulating conversation in regards to the paranormal and metaphysical.

He loved deeply and we take great comfort in knowing Dad is now at peace and forever surrounded by the light.
