Born in Platanakia, Greece, Costas had a dream for a better life for his family. He went to Germany for 3 years. But he had always wanted to come to America, with help from his Aunt Orea and cousins that wish came true. They were instrumental in securing a job with Dick Travers of Milton Machine in Quincy, MA. That allowed Costas and his family to immigrate to America in December 1968. He set out in search of the American dream. He was a Machinist by trade. Together with his wife, hard work and determination Costas became a proud citizen in two years. He always worked extra hours doing odd jobs fixing houses. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. Ten years later he realized that dream when he became owner of Louie’s Famous Pizza in Abington. Where everyone knew and loved him as Charlie.Costas was an active member of Saint Catharine’s Greek Orthodox Church in Braintree. He loved gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed vacationing in Greece and New Hampshire.
