Carol L. (Beebe) Walton of Braintree, formerly of Goffstown, N.H., passed suddenly and peacefully on July 19, 2021.
She is pre-deceased by husbands Norman Ploss of Lakeland, FL and Newman Walton, Jr.. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Kristi Frisbee of Pembroke, MA and Gina Johnson and her husband Charles of Manchester, N.H.; and her extended family, Nancy Davis and her husband Glenn of Ashburnham, MA, the late Bruce Walton and his wife Susan of Marion, MA, Alan Walton and his wife Kathy of Mendon, MA and Scott Walton and his wife Lisa of Haverhill, MA.
She was the beloved Grammie to Eric and Britney Frisbee, Krystle Charland, Jillian and Trevor Davis, Lisa and Noel Walton, Kaitlyn, Zack and Elise Walton and Amanda, Allison and Greg Walton. She was blessed to be Great-Grammie to Caroline, Lilah, Daryl, Jasmine and Grayson. Carol will be dearly missed by many cousins, friends and her dog, Baxter.
Carol spent much of her life growing up in Goffstown, N.H. and spending summers on her cousins’ farms in Northern New Hampshire. She enjoyed playing basketball and playing tuba in the school band. She was a proud member of the Goffstown High School Class of 1959. She was actively involved with her church, St. Matthew’s, and enjoyed her time singing in the church choir. When she married and moved to Braintree, she had the opportunity to travel with her husband and friends. She eventually reached her goal of becoming a travel agent.
Carol thoroughly enjoyed her time volunteering at the South Shore YMCA in Hanover where she made even more cherished friendships. When she wasn’t working in her garden or on a quilting or sewing project, she would be found listening to golf or the Red Sox game. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and enduring love.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, July 31 from 10AM-1PM at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin Street (Rt. 37), Braintree, MA. A church service will follow at 1:30PM in South Congregational Church, 1075 Washington Street, Braintree. Burial will take place in Shirley Hill Cemetery in Goffstown, N.H. at a later date.
