Blanche J. (Bennett) Bolter, 89, of Braintree passed away on March 1, 2025.

Devoted wife of the late William T. Bolter and William L. Smith. Loving mother of Sandra Burns and her husband Allan of Whitman, the late Sharon Smith and Cheryl Romano. Sister of Lillian Harper of Hamilton, Paul Bennett of FL, and the late George and Gilbert Bennett.

Lovingly known as “Nana Ma” by her grandchildren; Anastasia, Allan and his wife Nicole and Caitlyn Burns and her fiancé Maia and the late Amber Smith. Great grandmother to Brody and Greyson Burns and Keira Maia.

Born in New York, and raised in Dorchester, she was a Braintree resident for over 45 years. Her most recent work was for her daughter Cheryl’s flower shop, Barry’s located in Braintree. She had an unwavering faith since childhood and attended church every Sunday. Blanche enjoyed playing bingo and yard sales. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6th at 11am at McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin St. (Rt. 37), Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours prior to the service from 9-11am. Interment Braintree Cemetery, Plain Street, Braintree.
