It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Madeline (Wilson) Lockhart, age 80, who passed away on Monday, September 15th in Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Barbara was born on April 16th, 1945, in Braintree. She will be remembered for her years of service as an Operations Manager at Polaroid Corp, but she will be cherished and honored for her role as a daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.

She built a life rooted in love, laughter and family. She was married to Edward Brian Lockhart for 59 years and was a devoted parent to Edward Brian Lockhart II. She is survived by her son and his wife Maria, and their children Kaia and Jaylen of Sutton, brothers Daniel Wilson of Braintree, Tony Wilson of Hyde Park, and Tom Wilson of Newton, sisters Cynthia Christian of Weymouth, Deanna Fredie of Weymouth, Susan Wilson of Brighton, Patricia Wilson and Skate Wilson of Quincy, and Jennifer Wilson of Braintree. She was preceded in death by Madeline and Daniel Wilson.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, September 27th at 11am at Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West Street, Braintree. Those attending are kindly asked to meet at the cemetery office at 10:45am. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.

She will forever be remembered for her love, kindness and the legacy she leaves behind in all who cared for her.
