Areti Baroulakis Obituary

Areti Baroulakis, beloved sister & aunt passed away on June 6, 2025. Born on April 2, 1959, in New York City, Areti made her home in the South End of Boston, where she built a life rooted in hard work and love for her Greek heritage.

Areti dedicated many years working at the United States Post Office and later with the MBTA.  Areti was so much more than her work. She had a deep love of simple joys - the comfort of a good book, the laughter of classic shows like I Love Lucy and The Golden Girls.

Deeply proud of her Greek culture, she loved listening to Greek music and speaking Greek with her family.

She is survived by her brother Charles Eliopoulos, sister Demitra Walsh, brother-in law Jim Walsh, nephew Christopher Walsh, niece Faydra Eliopoulos and many cousins.

While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the life she lived and we carry her memory in our hearts forever.
