Anne Marie (Hession) Medeiros

Annie (Anne Marie) (Hession) Medeiros, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on October 21, 2020 at her home in Braintree, MA.  She was born in Weymouth, MA on October 30, 1953 to William Aloysius Hession of Athenry, County Galway, Ireland and Lucy Angelina (Melino) Hession of Norwood, Massachusetts. After several years as an insurance adjuster, Annie operated a home daycare for more than 15 years. Her most precious moments were those spent with her family, especially when it involved babies and children. Annie was born to be a mother, and children naturally gravitated toward her, as she did to them. 

Devoted mother to Jenna Stephens, and her wife Betsy of Avon, CT, and to Daniel Medeiros, and loving grandmother to Samantha Stephens. Dear sister of Michael John Hession and his wife Robin of Middleboro, MA, Noreen Lisa Hession and her husband Mark Whitworth of East Burke, VT, William Paul Hession of Bonita Springs, FL, Mel (Mary Ellen) Hession and her partner Gary Bogue of Medfield, MA, and Jude Hession of Madison, CT.  Loving “Auntie Annie” to her six nephews, Michael Johnson Hession of Oak Island, NC, Christopher Mark Hession of Plymouth, MA, Richard William Hession of Saco, ME, Alexander Paul Hession of Chicago, IL, Nicholas James Hession of Weymouth, MA and Samuel David Friedman of Madison, CT.  

Annie has now certainly been welcomed by and is greatly enjoying reuniting with her predeceased father, William, and a host of Irish relatives whom she adored.   

Due to COVID-19, a Celebration of Life memorial will take place in 2021.
