Thomas F Kettell Jr

Thomas F. Kettell Jr., 82, of Braintree passed away January 31, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Patricia “Penny” D. (Collins) Kettell to whom he was married to for 54 years. Born on February 9th 1935, Thomas was a Sergeant with the United States Marine Corps and a Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from New England Telephone Co. after 47 years. Thomas also served as past Post Commander of the VFW Post 1702 Braintree. Thomas was a devoted and hardworking dad to his 7 children, Jeff Kettell and his wife Lynne of Sandwich, Greg Kettell of Braintree, Suellen Canty and her late husband Steve of Quincy, Scott Kettell and his wife Lori of Weymouth, Darcey Lyons and her husband Mike of Plymouth, Leanne Parziale and her husband John of Middleboro, Darlene Jolls and her husband Chris of South Dennis. Father-in-law to Jennifer (White) Kettell of Florida.  Brother of Maryann Mahony of Quincy, Stephanie Peterson of Weymouth and the late Richard Kettell. Grandfather to 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, he will live on in their hearts and memories. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin St. (Rt37) Braintree, Monday February 5th from 4 to 8 PM. Funeral service and burial will be private.
