Susan Daley, 63, of Braintree, MA passed away November 8th after a long battle with Early Onset Alzheimer’s disease, one she fought with courage, humor, and grace. Susan was the daughter of Anne Daley Smith and the late Charles J. Daley. She is survived by her devoted and loving step-father Tom Smith and twin sister Kathleen Reardon. Sister to four loving brothers, Charles Daley, John Daley, Kevin Daley, and the late Thomas Daley.
Susan was a delightful and devoted aunt to 3 nephews – Michael Reardon, Jonathan Reardon, and Vincent Daley, and 5 nieces, Erin Daley Wooden, Meaghan Daley, Alison Jenkins, Caroline Daley, Kylin Daley, and step-nieces Ashley and Chantel Lefebvre.
A lover of children and learning, Susan left the business world in her forties to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming an elementary school teacher. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree at Cambridge College and her Master’s Degree in education at Leslie College with high honors.
She was an eloquent writer and an ardent supporter of the under privileged, always willing to take the coat off her back for anyone in need. She will be missed and loved forever by her family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday November 14 at 10:30 AM in the McMaster Funeral Home 86 Franklin St. (RT37) Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the funeral home Tuesday from 4 -7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SSYMCA/Germantown Neighborhood Club at 333 Palmer St., Quincy, MA 02169.
