Shirley Homewood Obituary

Shirley S. (Tims) Homewood, age 100, formerly of Braintree and Rockland, died Saturday December 15, 2018 at the Life Care Center in West  Bridgewater. She was the beloved wife of the late George H. Homewood.

Born in River Rouge Michigan on May 24, 1918, Shirley loved traveling especially to Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, Bermuda  and up and down the East and West coasts. She loved to bake, making and decorating several beautiful wedding cakes  for members of her family and friends. Shirley was an active and past member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1702, T.O.P.S., Camp Fire Girls and the Little League. She also was a very avid card player and enjoyed reading.

Shirley is survived by  three  children,  her son George  and his wife Linda Homewood of Inverness FL., her daughters  Lynne  and her husband John Lennon of Bridgewater and Sharon  and her husband John Grasso of East Bridgewater. She was the mother of the late J. Robert “Bob” Homewood and his longtime companion Sandy Rogers  of East Bridgewater; sister of June Russell of Lunenburg  and the late Hugh “Bud” Tims and Rita O’Reilly. Also survived by her cherished nine grandchildren, Susan, Keith, Paula, Derek, Sean, Mike, Matt,  Jason and Joe. Also survived by her much loved nine great grandchildren.
