M. Marilyn (Patterson) McLaughlin

M  MARILYN (PATTERSON) McLAUGHLIN 86 of Braintree passed away February14, 2018 at Season’s Hospice in Milton. Wife of the late Robert McLaughlin. Loving mother of Joan Ford of Braintree, Nancy Hopps and her late husband Michael of Halifax, Donald Duval III and his wife Donna of Weymouth, David Duval and his wife Mary of Hanover and Carolyn Lane and her husband Francis of Abington. Step mother of Robert McLaughlin of FL, Susan McIntosh of Mashpee and the late Michael McLaughlin. Beloved grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Marilyn was born in Boston and had lived in Braintree for the past 58 years. She had worked as a bookkeeper for the A.E. Barnes Insurance Co. in Weymouth for 20 years retiring in 1985, and volunteered at the South Shore Hospital gift shop for 10 years. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Church of St. Clare 1244 Liberty St. Braintree Highlands Monday February 19 at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit the McMaster Funeral Home 86 Franklin St (Rt37) Braintree prior to the mass from 8:30 to 10 AM. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family sincerely requests that  donations in her memory can be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute P.O. Box 849168 Boston, Ma 02284.
