Blanche Olive Fillis-Regan, RN

“Auntie Bea, Beezie, Deary, Miserable”

September 29, 1920 – June 14, 2018

Born in Canada to Margaret and Leo Fillis, siblings Leo T. Fillis and John Fillis all have passed.

Beloved wife to the late George F. Regan passed away peacefully June 14, 2018. A long time resident of Braintree, MA. She was given military honors and buried at the National Cemetery, Bourne, MA in a private service.

A loving and caring Aunt to Andrea Pizzi, husband Kevin Pizzi, Isabella, Marshal and Nolan Pizzi. Christina Fillis-Marcham, Gregg Fillis, and their families. Blanche spent her winters in Volcan, Panama with her brother John and family working at the School of San Benito. She loved the people of Panama and blessed them with her presence.

Blanche graduated from St. Elizabeth Hospital school of nursing in 1941 receiving her RN. She served proudly as a RN, and 1st Lt. in the Army in Grenier Field NH, then Labrador from 1942-1945. Blanche served her community in Braintree as a member of the VNA and completed her nursing career at Sigma Instruments, Braintree.

Beezie was loved by everyone she came in contact with whether it be a patient, neighbor she helped, the mailman, or her loving family and numerous friends. Auntie Bea had a heart of gold and she will be missed. She blessed us with her love for 97 years. She was an angel sent to me who watched over me and guided me through life. I love you.
